Hello! Press publisher Nancee Jean McClure earned both a Bachelor`s and Master`s Degree in Art Education and taught middle school art briefly before accepting a position as an educational consultant with the Illinois State Gifted Program. In addition to travel and public speaking, this job involved writing and illustrating educational material.
This exposure led to a job offer from an educational publisher. For the next several years, Nancee Jean wrote and illustrated several art and crafts books for children and worked as art director of a busy publishing company.
Nancee also has over 20 years experience creating illustrations, instructional graphic design and providing creative, development, and prepress services to publishers of material for young children.
Painting animals of any kind appeals to Nancee Jean. She recently illustrated three children`s books titled "The Lazy Alligator," "Trunks and Tails," and "We Are Hippopotamus" by award-winning author Jon Archembault. She is an active member of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of SCBWI and the International Reading Association.
Living in the beauty of western Colorado provides the artist with unlimited opportunities to paint powerful landscapes and awe-inspiring wildlife. You can view her fine art and illustrations at www.nanceejean.com. |
